The theme in this episode was that there was this so called “ugly” woman who was undergoing surgery to become normal. Because supposedly she was a “freak”. And that the norm was that everyone was ugly and outcast were the beautiful people.
- How does the filmmaker reveal this.
They show this women wrapped up in bandages and the doctors and nurses whose faces were not shown helping her becoming normal because people who were like her weren’t normal. She thought she was ugly everyone thought she was ugly and it turns out they take the bandages off and she beautiful but everyone else is ugly. So the message the filmmaker was trying to convey was that beauty is in the eye of the beholder because what some people think is beautiful others may not.
